Lavender Quartz is a rare variety of Quartz that ranges in truly ethereal lavender, pastel violet, medium violet, or a light pinkish-purple. Inclusions of manganese and titanium are the cause for such astounding color displays. This natural material is neither Amethyst nor a Chalcedony. It is its own uncommon addition to the Quartz family. Mined directly from host rock, Lavender Quartz comes from the Boquira Mine in the municipality of Oliveira dos Brejinhos of Bahia. The Borquria Mine is no longer producing Lavender Moon Quartz, making this sought-after crystal a collector’s piece. This crystal is said to cultivate feelings of self-love and hopefulness, while assisting in third eye activation and intuition.
